the first meeting

[ It almost seemed the Primal had beckoned them. Alphinaud, Papalymo, Yda and Urianger had come to investigate Alexander, and there had been a large open passage. They'd all entered together, and there was a city. After a bit of navigation, though...

...there was a Primal standing in the center of the town. Well, it looked like a Primal to all those who could see it, the four who presented themselves inside. They looked like a being of pure Light, eying the four.

But it seems they won't make the first move. Not yet. ]

Me and Alexander are one and the same-- I didn't think Cordis would lose himself to the feelings of others easily. [ He says, as Cordis wraps himself around Cid, wailing unlike a person would. ] Still losing himself. You'll be okay... I'm here now. They're usually a lot friendlier, I swear.

[readypunch]

Oh! So it's you-? I didn't expect that- or that, either. [she croons a little, gently.]. They- well I kinda hope so! If they know you, after all.

[ Urianger is also watching, as Cid kisses the mass of Light. Who... doesn't seem to be re-forming much. Remaining a soft mass. ] I imagine it's hard to imagine. You're... from another reflection, after all.

...I can see all of time and space. Every version of it, as well. [ cid says gently, as the others stare. ]

[It's kinda weird! A little worrying, too. Yda stays where she is for the moment wondering.]. Yeah- it's kind funny! I mean, we knew there was a lot more Light here but. We still didn't know it'd be like this.

Really? That's pretty incredible. All of it- really?

Yes - all of them. I can't change it, though - that's one of my limits. [ He's frowning, a little, as Cordis seems to quieten. Still shapeless, still clinging. ] He was turned into a Primal influenced by the thoughts of others. Not all of us are like them - a lot of us still have our forms.

I guess that'd be a lot to ask, huh? And take an awful lot of power…

Oh… is that what happened? Then, um… I guess we weren't helping much. Is- are they cute? Usually? [YDA]. Like you? I mean, you look a little different, but I still know you.

It'd drain an entire reflection of aether. Said so simply.

But he nods a little. Before Cordis seems to move, to cover more of Cid. Ah-- he's pretty cute. [ cid is blushing??? ] And yeah, the others are more like me. Keeping their forms.

Oh. Definitely bad then!

And very loving! [CUTE]. Well, that's good then! Right? I mean- it's pretty weird to be something else. Even if it's, well, you.

Well, they are my boyfriend. [ A beat. ] Though I couldn't keep them for myself. It's impossible - with how his mind's manipulated, rumours turn to truth.

...Besides, I choose to appear closer to how I should be.

[readypunch]

Lucky you, then! Both of you. Rumours- of more loves? That's- do you mind?

Oh- so it's under control! Like shifting, a little?

We've worked it out together - and besides, some of the people they bring home are cute as well. [ Cordis seems to purr a little as Cid says that.

Cid looks to the group, then gives a soft smile. They can handle this. His form suddenly shifts - to far more angelic, far more holy - almost looking like figures illustrated by Hydaelyn in ancient texts. Cordis was stabilizing now as well, his Light form seeming to fade and become a Hyur. ]

It is far more under control then yours - but I'm sure you'll practice more.

That's good! It's always better to have that sorted out, right? Nothing wrong with that! [Yda grins at the two of them.

She lets out a startled sound as Cid changes, backing up into the others- cuddling into them, amazed.]

It must be-! You look amazing. Of course we will! [she chirps.]. I mean, you made it look so smooth!

[ Urianger almost seems to let out an ancient prayer in awe, as Alphinaud also bows a little. Papalymo is still defensive. ]

How about I help you out with it? And... whatever task brought you here. [ which he does already know. ]

[readypunch]

[she doesn't know the prayer, but she agrees.]

Would you? That'd be fantastic- I'd love to change that smoothly…! What about you guys? And- that'd be good. I mean, they should both be themselves, right?

[ The others seem to agree - which is good. Cid seems to smile, even if that's not something his current body should be able to see. A pure angel... ] They should be - and those in this reflection have techniques to sever and shift where souls are. I swore that Cordis knew what happened...

[readypunch]

[Yda lets herself relax a little more- beaming back. Already excited about this.]. So we'll be able to sort something out! Um… Well, maybe it wasn't as obvious? I don't know- we realised something had to be wrong…

[magitrap]

[ That's when Cordis mumbles. ] Had t'... deal with other things. Didn't know.

[ Gently, Cid continued to hold Cordis, who now looked... mostly Hyur. Though he still looked far too glowing, fate still mocked him by these others around. ] He had to help us tame Omega, and he also recently returned from a trip to territory that was once Ivalice. But part of his condition is that he can't refuse these trips - he's the hero. [ there's sadness in his voice. ] Not even the Twelve can change that - and they've tried!

[readypunch]

…yeah. As- well, as the Warrior of Light- you must be pretty busy, huh?

{Well- that makes sense as the Warrior of Light. She still feels curious about Cordis, leaning forward a little.]. Omega- the machine that subdued Shinryuu? The one who supports everyone- you mean? [she gives a worried chirp.]. They can't? What if- something happened to him?

[ Cordis nods a little, trying not to doze off. He-- Cid trusted him with this and now Cid's saving him. Goddamnit, he doesn't need this. (But Cordis likes it.) ]

Yes, the very same. She's become an assistant to me - in a way.

...I don't know what we'd-- what I'd do if something bad happened to them again. [ He's gently touching the earrings hanging from Cordis - the White Ravens, sadly. ] But as long as we support him, things'll work out in the end.

[readypunch]

[She's a little worried about getting close, but- Cordis seems as though they need rest.]

In a way…? Well- I'm glad you have help.

Yeah. I… well, maybe you know better'n me. [she nods!]. I think so. I mean- I want everyone to be happy.

She's still learning about the world - and emotions. [ Cid looks to calm a little. His wings wrapping around the scared Primal, but offering others for Yda to inspect. She, after all, is bird-esque. ]

...Then it's good we've met. For beings who don't have much Light, you're filled with kindness.

[readypunch]

I guess- those wouldn't have been something she cared about, before? [she steps forward to take up the offer, touching them gently- starting to fuss a little, because it's nice. And he is being good to them.]

Oh- well- we're trying! I mean- I don't want people to think badly of us, really.

[magitrap]

[ Cid is so kind, a lot more then the tol they knew. And he doesn't seem to mind as Alphinaud has approached - and bitten onto his arm. He's gonna let him do this, though Cordis sighs a little. Frowning at Cid.

The clicking has gone quiet. ]

You're sort of strange looking - but you're not violent. We'll need to get used to all of you soon enough, anyway.

[readypunch]

[It's nice! She gives a soft sound, watching Alphinaud, watching Cid- he doesn't seem to mind, but-]. Is this all right?

[she didn't realise for a little, but- it's easier to relax now.]

Well… not most of the time, at least. Because- the worlds are getting closer?

I told you - I'm Alexander. I... have a lot of aether and light which I can't put to any good use. [ he sort of. taps his goggles, where his third eye is. ]

They are. I can't see quite when they'll become one - or if you'll all need to take refuge in here instead. Depends on what Garlemald does next.
