the first meeting

[ It almost seemed the Primal had beckoned them. Alphinaud, Papalymo, Yda and Urianger had come to investigate Alexander, and there had been a large open passage. They'd all entered together, and there was a city. After a bit of navigation, though...

...there was a Primal standing in the center of the town. Well, it looked like a Primal to all those who could see it, the four who presented themselves inside. They looked like a being of pure Light, eying the four.

But it seems they won't make the first move. Not yet. ]

[she brings a hand up to stroke Lyse's hair.]

Things… well. I guess- you can use that, huh?

I think… well. I've gotta look after you guys. And- I mean, sometimes I still want to- but it wouldn't feel right if I didn't know everyone was safe.

[lyse]

So that's your motivation. But what about when things... are peaceful?

[ Lyse wishes it was her own hair, wishes she was in her own body. But she feels herself shuddering. Her mind is still racing. ]

[readypunch]

When it's peaceful- I mean, I want to. To curl up with you and Papalymo and everyone- but. I want to be there, too, and love everyone and show them the good times. Keep moving, and- don't let it catch up.

[she nuzzles- trying to pull Lyse closer, wrapping arms and wings around her.]

[lyse]

You'll let yourself rest with all of us... all of them. Maybe I... [ Lyse mumbled, her Auracite glowing brighter. Warmer. Before Lyse seems to prickle, though she remains cuddled and in the feathers: ] I can feel something, Yda. Something strong.

[readypunch]

Yeah. After all- it's not the same without everyone, right? [she fluffs a little at that, looking up.]. …we shouldn't be in danger, but… can you tell more?

[lyse]

They knew me as Yda. They... didn't really know me. [ Oh. Oh Lyse. But she gently looks to the stone, as she talks. ] It feels... stronger then a Primal. Like, a lot stronger.

[readypunch]

But they can get to now. They will. [she fusses over Lyse's hair again, worried as she glances at the stone.] That's- um. We met some others, but- that strong? Here?

[lyse]

I feel... water and thunder... a storm? [ She's actually feeling Nymeia and Rhalgr, but. Can't describe it. The stone seems to glow, and Lyse tries to stand, eyes faded a little. What's going on with her...? ]

[readypunch]

A storm- Ramuh? [she tries to wrap an arm around Lyse- rises with her.]. Lyse?

[lyse]

No. Not Ramuh.

[ Lyse snarls a little, as she moves to leave the room. Stone glowing even more. ] I need to-- protect you.

[readypunch]

Then- [there are Gods, here, right? So-

She shakes the thought off, following.]. Wait! I'm- we got here, and I'm fine! They might be nice too- Lyse!

[lyse]

[ Lyse looks back for a little, but she's shaking. ] They-- might not be.

[ The door opens. There were two figures there - one garbed in a veil and a starry dress, and the other in traditional Monk wear. But before they could talk, Lyse stood there - Auracite out.

It doesn't seem to work all at once on strong beings, but Lyse looks determined. Her arm - well, the Ascian arm - is crackling with aether. ]

[readypunch]

But you don't know that! [and neither does she, but- they can hope, can't they?

[She stares for a moment, amazed- but then jolts as Lyse holds the Auracite out.]

Lyse! No- I don't think this is a good idea! [she rushes forward, reaching out to try and trap Lyse's arms by her sides.]

[lyse]

[ And it works. Lyse is grabbed - but she screams, like it's hurting. Like it's burning, the beam interrupted.

And she's passed out...? Her arms are still flickering, the crystal dulling. The lady in the veil rushes over to try and help, even as there's slight aether glowing around her from the draining. ]

...She'll wake. I think?

[readypunch]

[Yda gives an unhappy sound, but- she's still holding onto Lyse. To help support her, when it seems she's passed out- grunting a little. She nods to the lady in the veil- eyes wide a little.]

Okay. That's good. I think- we should probably lay her down? I, um- I don't know- is this room where she was staying?

…I'm sorry about that.

[lyse]

...It's fine. I sort of saw I'd get a little hurt? Well, me or Rhalgr. [ She smiles from under her veil. ] And, yeah, that's Igeyorhms room... even if that's not her.

[readypunch]

Oh- so the two of you were anticipating? Rhalgr- [she stares at both of them, amazed.]. Ah! Then- right, you guys are- from this reflection?

Then it's okay to use it, right?

[lyse]

Mhm! This is Rhalgr, and I'm Nymeia. Well, you can guess our old names but it's nice being like this. [ There's a little sigh from her, looking up at her big sister with a grin, before moving to help pick up the passed out possessed body. ]

And I hope it's fine! I... don't forsee anything going wrong with that?

[readypunch]

Yeah! I think- this is probably okay for now? We might get confused- though I guess we look pretty dissimilar, huh…. [Rhalgr-Yda grins back, reaching to see if she can help- they those two look like they have it in had.]

That's alright, then! I mean- she was home and safe when we left! So- I think we should be okay until we can work out how to get both of them back to themselves. We- I don't know how, but we can do that, right?

[lyse]

Yeah, you've got all those feathers - were you born with them, or...? [ looks like they can all carry her! Her body still crackles with aether. and the stone... well. it's dulled, for now.

But it's still concerning. But Nymeia grins. ] Of course! We know techniques for separating and moving souls. Well, I don't. That's not what I do.

[readypunch]

Oh- I wasn't born with them- I sort of, well. I died, and then I turned into a griffin- and then Y'shtola, our Y'shtola helped me figure out out to turn more human again. [she's still worried, holding onto Lyse tightly.]

Oh- no, you'd deal with, um. Fate, right? But- there are people here who do?

[lyse]

You died?! Are you okay? [ there is fussing, she's already seeing as family. ] But your Y'shtola - she wouldn't be like ours, huh. Ours is a mermaid! And also Llymnaen!

And yup, Fate is me! But there's a lot of people here who know about it, even if if's not their Domain. We all need to help each other, right?

[readypunch]

Yeah- well! I'm okay now, but- it was pretty weird for a while. [she holds a hand out for Nymeia, smiling.]. No, uh- she took a lot more of the Void, so that's definitely not the same, either! She is? That's- wow, that's incredible! Does she help guide, then?

That's good! Knowledge like that- it's got to be pretty useful, huh? [she nods.]. Definitely- that was why we all came together, after all.

[lyse]

[ and lyse is now in bed, twitching and groaning, as nymeia takes ydas' hand... before flopping into a cuddle, to feel those wings! though yda would catch a glance of the deitys' eyes - far too intense, the bright cosmos reflected in them. ] Oh - well, you are full of darkness. I can feel it. But it's not dangerous, or I'd see it too.

Not that Fate is pre-determined, mind you! Uh, just had to make sure you knew that. Free will exists. [ :3

She looks so happy, though. ] Mhm! Even if our task has changed, and even if there's bad things in the future... we've got each other. Across reflections.

[readypunch]

[Yda nuzzles into her, as Rhalgr settles down to hold Lyse's hand- tracing her fingers over Lyse's skin. She blinks quickly after catching that glimpse- so intense! But she squeezes Nymeia's hand.]. Course! I mean- you're all family of a sort, right? I don't want anything- well, this- I don't wanna hurt you.

That's good! So there's ways we can do- but we can still aid it.

[she's glad to see it! smiling gently.] Yeah. Together- we can survive, right? And more! We can look out for each other.
