the first meeting

[ It almost seemed the Primal had beckoned them. Alphinaud, Papalymo, Yda and Urianger had come to investigate Alexander, and there had been a large open passage. They'd all entered together, and there was a city. After a bit of navigation, though...

...there was a Primal standing in the center of the town. Well, it looked like a Primal to all those who could see it, the four who presented themselves inside. They looked like a being of pure Light, eying the four.

But it seems they won't make the first move. Not yet. ]

[Weird. She reaches out to touch their body carefully- feeling them out.] Nymeia- wait, she's- Lyse here is- Nymeia? I'm- I'm not going to hurt her, that's gotta be a bad idea. [messing with fate? nnnnnno.]

…so where's ours?

[ The Primal still hisses, still struggling. ] I don't have anything of yours! None of us do! [ ...they seem confident in this. It doesn't seem to notice the clicking getting louder. But yet, the beast is looking at them. Trying to move to touch these others, weapon vanishing. ]

…oh. [it was their souls that swapped, right?]. Um- have you seen her lately?

[she reaches out to touch them- giving the others an encouraging look. it seems like they're okay for right now.]

...I haven't had time-- what did you do to her. She's already suffered enough!

[ poor, poor cordis. Of course he thinks they're hurt her. But his voice is weakening. ] There's not enough time...

Nothing!! Nothing! She's cute, she's nice, I like her! [which maybe sounds bad, but. well. she does.]

Enough time for what?

I-- to help everybody-- 'm the Warrior of Light. I have to...

[ They seem to be becoming less Spoken-shaped as they talk, though. More examining. ]

But what did you do to her. You shouldn't-- how do you know her?

Oh- wait. You are? [she beands in a little closer, examining back- feathers fluffing and settling.]. …you seem kinda stretched. Are you- are you sure you're not overdoing it?

Well- we've taken her to a few places, but- that's not what you mean, huh? It's, um- there was some sort of summoning, and she and Lyse- our Lyse- got swapped.

I'm fine! [ That's when the Primal seems to stand again, knocking them off. Oh, he looks angry. Form barely settled, weapon beginning to form again. Perhaps telling them that they were the Warrior of Light was a bad idea. ]

How could this happen-- how can I trust your word?! You're Voidsent.

[readypunch]

Whoa! [she flaps, trying to keep her balance, unsettled and worried again. They… they've got a lot of power, right? Are they- probably they haven't been using Auracite, but she's concerned.]

It's- uh. We don't have any proof, so- please. Trust us. We're trying to get her home- get both of them back to their homes.

[magitrap]

[ urianger is on the ground, but then there's a yelp--

from Alphinaud, as... Cid? It looks like Cid pushes though. ] Cordis! [ ...Cordis? The Primal turns, and just stares. ] Cordis... focus. Don't let yourself lose yourself, you'll regret it--

[ Yup, the Primal is calming, seeming to become reformed again. ] Twelve, I'm so sorry. I should have come earlier.

...Okay, what's going on. [ Papalymo asked. ]

Cid!? [he's- well, he looks a little different, but enough like Cid…

She watches the Primal settle, going over to help Urianger.] Did you know what was going on here? How? How'd you get here,t oo?

Me and Alexander are one and the same-- I didn't think Cordis would lose himself to the feelings of others easily. [ He says, as Cordis wraps himself around Cid, wailing unlike a person would. ] Still losing himself. You'll be okay... I'm here now. They're usually a lot friendlier, I swear.

[readypunch]

Oh! So it's you-? I didn't expect that- or that, either. [she croons a little, gently.]. They- well I kinda hope so! If they know you, after all.

[magitrap]

[ Urianger is also watching, as Cid kisses the mass of Light. Who... doesn't seem to be re-forming much. Remaining a soft mass. ] I imagine it's hard to imagine. You're... from another reflection, after all.

...I can see all of time and space. Every version of it, as well. [ cid says gently, as the others stare. ]

[It's kinda weird! A little worrying, too. Yda stays where she is for the moment wondering.]. Yeah- it's kind funny! I mean, we knew there was a lot more Light here but. We still didn't know it'd be like this.

Really? That's pretty incredible. All of it- really?

Yes - all of them. I can't change it, though - that's one of my limits. [ He's frowning, a little, as Cordis seems to quieten. Still shapeless, still clinging. ] He was turned into a Primal influenced by the thoughts of others. Not all of us are like them - a lot of us still have our forms.

[readypunch]

I guess that'd be a lot to ask, huh? And take an awful lot of power…

Oh… is that what happened? Then, um… I guess we weren't helping much. Is- are they cute? Usually? [YDA]. Like you? I mean, you look a little different, but I still know you.

It'd drain an entire reflection of aether. Said so simply.

But he nods a little. Before Cordis seems to move, to cover more of Cid. Ah-- he's pretty cute. [ cid is blushing??? ] And yeah, the others are more like me. Keeping their forms.

[readypunch]

Oh. Definitely bad then!

And very loving! [CUTE]. Well, that's good then! Right? I mean- it's pretty weird to be something else. Even if it's, well, you.

[magitrap]

Well, they are my boyfriend. [ A beat. ] Though I couldn't keep them for myself. It's impossible - with how his mind's manipulated, rumours turn to truth.

...Besides, I choose to appear closer to how I should be.

[readypunch]

Lucky you, then! Both of you. Rumours- of more loves? That's- do you mind?

Oh- so it's under control! Like shifting, a little?

We've worked it out together - and besides, some of the people they bring home are cute as well. [ Cordis seems to purr a little as Cid says that.

Cid looks to the group, then gives a soft smile. They can handle this. His form suddenly shifts - to far more angelic, far more holy - almost looking like figures illustrated by Hydaelyn in ancient texts. Cordis was stabilizing now as well, his Light form seeming to fade and become a Hyur. ]

It is far more under control then yours - but I'm sure you'll practice more.

That's good! It's always better to have that sorted out, right? Nothing wrong with that! [Yda grins at the two of them.

She lets out a startled sound as Cid changes, backing up into the others- cuddling into them, amazed.]

It must be-! You look amazing. Of course we will! [she chirps.]. I mean, you made it look so smooth!

[ Urianger almost seems to let out an ancient prayer in awe, as Alphinaud also bows a little. Papalymo is still defensive. ]

How about I help you out with it? And... whatever task brought you here. [ which he does already know. ]

[she doesn't know the prayer, but she agrees.]

Would you? That'd be fantastic- I'd love to change that smoothly…! What about you guys? And- that'd be good. I mean, they should both be themselves, right?
